Summary
Smaran is an IoT-based elder care system that combines wearable tech, a simple app, and real-time analytics to enhance senior safety, independence, and caregiver connectivity.

With India’s elderly population projected to reach 194 million by 2031 (Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, 2023), Smaran enhances quality of life by fostering happiness, community, and health for the geriatric population, as well as caregivers and family members- the three primary stakeholders.
The Problem Statement-
How can we design a supportive system that enhances the quality of life for geriatrics aged 75+, their families, and caregivers by addressing their social and mental well-being within their home environments?

Defining the business scope is crucial for aligning solutions with realistic goals and stakeholder needs.
